The basic problem is the reduction of creative production to the commodity form. Money has chained art to the commodity form.
Perhaps, even in its socio-economic-cultural confinement, art can help provide a vision, as some artists are able to take our imagination away from the boundaries of the everyday, transporting us into the realm of imagination, dream, and possibility. But the fact remains, this doesn’t feed anyone.
